Status Update

It’s been awhile since I’ve had a chance to update on my fitness progress.
I’m at a point now where it’s hard to imagine coming as far as I have, it’s difficult to even remember exactly what things were like before. I’ve stepped up my workout routine considerably over the past few months and have seen pretty great results.
I’m lifting weights for a little over an hour Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the early afternoon. Tuesday and Thursday I do a cardio session at that same time, usually about an hour of interval training on the stairs. Then Monday - Friday I come back for a second session at around 6PM and do another hour of cardio. Then on the weekends I take it a little easy with only one light cardio session each day.
So somehow I’ve built up to devoting around 15 hours a week to exercise, and it really doesn’t seem like that big a deal to me. I’m to a point of fitness now where I feel like I could be very competitive in basketball and hockey, but I don’t dare risk injuring myself when I’m in the home stretch.
After being stuck for awhile I’m almost 90% of the way to a normal body fat percentage and I’m 75% of the way to my overall goal. However that goal is starting to feel a little outdated. Odds are I’ll hit my goal BF% at a higher weight than I anticipated, meaning I may actually be about 80% of the way to what should be my goal weight.
It’s strange because I don’t feel like I look all that different just yet, but clearly I do. I saw some people yesterday I hadn’t seen in over a year and they literally did not recognize me. Although my current giant Fredrick Douglas hair probably doesn’t help either.
This is going to be a very exciting few months, and doing this without having to adopt some wacky diet makes me confident it’s very sustainable. I should probably throw up some pictures soon, but if you’ve got me on Facebook you probably have a pretty good idea of where I’m at.
I really need to get around to sending pictures to my two former trainers, I think both of them would be pretty stunned.
